Day 2 in France saw Bordeaux looking to add another win after last week's sucess against Lens. The Champions went to Sochaux and came away with a fine 3-2 win. Elsewhere deposed champions Lyon won narrowly at home to Valenciennes whiel Marseille and PSG were also victorious.

Marseille 1-0 Lille
Nancy, Bordeaux and Marseille all have 100% records after two games. Lyon and Rennes are two of five teams with four points. Saint Étienne join Lille, Grenoble Foot, Valenciennes and Auxerre with no points from two games.
